Atrium

The former hospital site in Kerkrade is being redeveloped by Wyckerveste in collaboration with the Municipality of Kerkrade. The municipality is creating an area here focused on healthy living, sports, and exercise, under the umbrella name VIE. VIE provides a physical home for a sports hall and a swimming pool. Wyckerveste is strengthening this development by adding functions to the existing hospital building that align seamlessly with the VIE vision. Among others, several outpatient clinics of Zuyderland Medical Center and an inpatient care complex of MeanderGroep South Limburg are located at this dynamic healthcare site.

Part of the complex was sold to the Municipality of Kerkrade, which will use the location for the redevelopment of a secondary school: the Martin Buber College, providing Kerkrade once again with a secondary education facility.
