Cambuur Stadium Development

In 2013, Wyckerveste was approached by SC Cambuur and the municipality of Leeuwarden with the question of whether Wyckerveste could realize a new commercial stadium for the club, along with surrounding leisure and retail developments. This led to an intensive process, during which a suitable location was found and the necessary land was acquired by Wyckerveste.

The total development, covering no less than 100,000 m², was realized by Wyckerveste over a period of more than seven years. During this process, the complete zoning plan procedure was successfully navigated and the environmental permit was finalized.

In 2021, the entire development was sold to Van Wijnen, who will take on the further realization of the project. The expected completion of the new stadium, together with the leisure and retail components, is scheduled for late 2023.
